Problem Description	After renaming the host in Linux using ‘hostnamect set-hostname’ and subsequent reboot, Brave browser or Chrome) will not star at all. The system logs show “`The profile appears to be in use by another Google Chrome process (8629) on another computer "`
Solution	Remove Profile Lock: Navigate to the directory where your Brave profile is stored. on Linux this is in your home profile `~/.config/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/` then `rm -rf SingletonLock`
